Loeries announced its much anticipated creative rankings for 2017 today, where NATIVE VML ranked third among the top South African agencies and received fourth placement among agencies from across the region which includes Africa and the Middle East.
“The Loeries creative rankings have long since been a measurement of excellence within the marketing industry. To be placed in such high standing among creative powerhouses is extremely gratifying and humbling. We are thrilled and proud to continue this incredible trajectory as a winning creative agency,” says Ryan McManus, NATIVE VML ECD. “We see ourselves as an agency that defies traditional definitions in order to help clients reorient their brands around their customers. We are constantly working to find unique ways to deliver experiences to consumers on behalf of brands, and showcasing how creativity is the ingredient for brands to truly become a part of popular culture.”
NATIVE VML understands the complex dynamics of the entire connected consumer experience. It is this insight that has allowed the agency to create truly integrated experiences that have the power to transform brands. The agency’s work on Absolut Vodka is one such an example. The Absolut One Source campaign, which has been hailed as one of the hottest musical collaborations of its kind, has become one of NATIVE VML’s most awarded campaigns to date having received among others campaign Gold at Loeries, eight pixels at Bookmarks and Gold, two Silver and Bronze Lions at Cannes this year. It is due to the success of this campaign at Loeries that Absolut received fourth place among the Top Brands ranking for 2017.
McManus adds: “To see how all the hard work, talented people and great client relationships have culminated in being ranked third in the country is just fantastic. Winning across multiple categories at Loeries this year from digital to film, media and design, has really demonstrated the success of our integrated approach. It’s even more exciting to see a huge number of our staff, brave clients and their brands listed across the Loeries rankings table. Proving that winning creative comes from great partnerships and a desire to do work that goes beyond advertising, and instead, lives in people’s lives.”
