General Electric Africa appoints Colourworks as new creative agency

Cape Town-based agency announces their newest client

In a pitch against 18 competing agencies, Colourworks won the bid for the General Electric account in Africa.

“It is nothing short of thrilling to join forces with the company that was a pioneer in first bringing light to people’s homes, revolutionising healthcare with the Xray, and building the first jet engine,” says Lesley Waterkeyn, Colourworks CEO. “Imagining things others don’t is something we’ve always taken delight in, and so, to work with a company that does the same in bringing together the physical and digital worlds, is hugely inspiring and exciting.”

Colourworks has been appointed the below the line marketing agency to service General Electric across Africa. With our creative hub at the tip of the continent in Cape Town, and a vast network of suppliers in Africa, Colourworks is geared to support General Electric, telling their story as they move, power, build and cure the world.

“Expanding our client base in Africa has always been part of our brand vision,” says Lexy Geyer, Account Director. “To work with a global business such as General Electric – a multinational conglomerate and a major global player in the healthcare, digital, industrial and engineering segments – is a huge win for our team. Colourworks is set up and ready to support GE and excited about the possibilities that this partnership will bring.”
