Hunt Lascaris is one of the leading full-service advertising agencies in the world.
Hunt Lascaris was founded in 1983 by celebrated Advertising icons, John Hunt and Reg Lascaris with the vision to become the first world-class agency out of Africa. We started with no clients and no office. Our first campaign was sold from the back of a car. I guess you could say we were the world’s first mobile agency. A mere ten years later, Hunt Lascaris was named Ad Age’s International Advertising Agency of the Year in 1993. The agency was found on the belief that “life’s too short to be mediocre” and from it, stemmed some of Advertising’s most iconic and effective work. This belief led to some of the most disruptive, boundary-pushing work in Advertising history, which resulted in unbelievable growth for our clients, many we still retain to this very day.
We’ve created some of the most iconic pieces of communication in the world for brands like SPAR, TOPS, Standard Bank, BMW, Nissan, Tiger Brands and many, many more. For example, our Trillion Dollar campaign for The Zimbabwean newspaper remains the most awarded campaign in the world – in all of advertising history. No small feat.
Thirty-plus years later, Hunt Lascaris is still one of the world’s leading advertising agencies, and part of the TBWA global network which boasts presence in over a hundred countries worldwide. Locally, Hunt Lascaris has presence in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town.
