Founded in 2012, The New Generation Social & Digital Media Awards, has established a reputation as the largest independent social and digital media awards on the South African calendar.

What makes us different?

Through an array of exciting categories, we recognise both the leading Corporates and Agencies that produce outstanding campaigns to promote themselves and brands in ground-breaking ways. Our categories included the Corporate Awards, Agency Awards, Online Media & Tools Awards, Student Awards and the Overall Special Awards.

The awards celebrate ingenuity, with a specific focus on results and insight-based success, which makes the awards unique among those largely dominated by equal parts emotion and ideation. “The awards continually evolve to include new trends in social & digital media, new industry technology and platforms, as well as international trends making their way into South Africa.

Our Judging Process: We pride ourselves on having the fairest judging process, which ensures each entry is marked by at least four judges, measuring them against the following criteria: strategy, innovation, creativity, content, results, reach and engagement.

The judges value ingenuity and creative brilliance as key factors in the judging process and ensure that it is primarily about the results achieved.

The New Generation 2022 Awards Gala Ceremony:

For the second year running, singer, songwriter and actress Relebogile Mabotja, will host this year’s awards show, which will be held on 29 September at The Ballroom, Monte Casino – Johannesburg. Entertainment comes to you from Cape Town vocal powerhouse Tyler Page.
