Who We Are

In 1948, David Ogilvy founded the agency that would become Ogilvy. Starting with no clients and a staff of two, he built his company into one of the largest advertising networks in the world. With more than 500 offices and 25,000 staff across 169 cities, we create iconic advertising for a vast number of clients across multiple industries.

Today, Ogilvy South Africa – the largest communications agency in the country – employs almost 1,000 specialist staff across three offices and remains true to our founder’s vision. We still see ourselves as a company that does more than ads and have proven it by maintaining our humility and an almost divine discontent at our past successes. Only if we continue doing that, can we do more than stay relevant. And we have proven it: in 2015, we were named “Digital Agency of the Year” by the Financial Mail and “Most Digitally Integrated” by our peers on the MarkLives Annual Agency Poll.
